EUMCCI is a
public non-profit organisation and does not get any funding from European Union. The
Chamber is financed by projects, events, memberships and sponsorships.
It is an umbrella organisation of all EU chambers of commerce and
business councils, whose members are also our members, altogether 1088.

Our Mission |
|
To promote, support and
develop EU business interests in Malaysia as well as facilitate trade,
commerce and investments between EU and Malaysia. In order to fulfill
its mission, EUMCCI carries out activities that will catalyze and
stimulate networking of European companies in Malaysia with the
Malaysian business community, business associations, relevant
ministries, official representations and other Chambers in Asia. These
activities are balanced between social and business activities.

EUMCCI held the 2nd edition of the Europa Awards on the 15th of
May, 2009 at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur.
It was a prestigious evening with European Fine
Dining and Entertainment.

EUMCCI
is member of the
European Business Organisation (EBO)
Network created between representatives of EU business
association in non-EU countries under the coordination
of DG Enterprises &
Industry of the European Commission.
The
objective of this group is to promote exchanges of views
between these associations and their host countries and
to establish closer relationships between the Commission
services and these organisations, raise awareness on EU
policy priorities and activities and improve the basis
for further development and implementation of EU
policies. |

EUMCCI
is now an affiliate member of the Enterprise Europe Network. The
Network is the
largest network of contact points providing information and advice to EU
Companies on EU matters, in particular small and medium enterprises
(SMEs). The Network offers concrete and effective solutions to enterpreneurs and companies in more than 40 countries, including the 27
EU-member states, three EU candidate countries (Croatia, the former
Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Turkey), members of the European
Economic Area (EEA) and other participating third countries, like
Chile, Korea and Malaysia. This is made possible thanks to the
coordinated action of nearly 600 local partner organisations, employing
around 3,000 experienced staff working to support the competitiveness
of EU businesses. |
