Function of the Committee:

The EUMCCI CSR committee with representatives from several European and Malaysian companies is focusing on more attention for CSR in Malaysia.

• The CSR Committee provides members and other stakeholders with access to relevant CSR related course materials to assist in developing an understanding and appreciation of CSR, both conceptually and in practice. This enables members to better incorporate CSR into their organizations and foster more responsible business practices.
• The CSR Committee provides a forum for advocacy with key stakeholders to facilitate an enabling environment that encourages private sector investment in CSR related activities.
• The CSR Committee is working with its members through outreach forums, workshops, and meetings to assist in the implementation of CSR activities and initiatives that strategic in nature, in line with their core business practices and focused towards sustainable development.

Topic: Corporate Social Responsibility Practices and Knowledge sharing between companies

Objectives: Through attending this seminar, participants will be able to:

• To understand CSR development and challenges of the “hosting company” (actors, policies to enhance CSR, collaboration with NGOs and other stakeholders, etc.)
• Obtain practical lessons on CSR activities from actual cases from the “hosting company”
• Exchange information, for learning from best practices, and exploring partnerships with corporations.

Event Format: Venue @ “hosting” companies - presentation by “hosting” companies

Hosting Companies: 4 companies, 1 company per quarter. Eg. DIGI, SIEMENS, TESCO, SHELL

Objectives: Series of master classes (6 trainers + 6 master classes) by local and international practitioners. To provide participants with practical tools for the management of Sustainability and CSR.
