Functions and objectives of the Committee:

The EUMCCI IPR Committee offers an excellent platform for members:

• To identify and address IP issues of concern to support and develop EU business interests in Malaysia
• To discuss ways to enhance IPR protection and enforcement in a coordinated manner
• To engage, develop and enhance collaboration and cooperation with stakeholders and key players including Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs, MyIPO and Royal Malaysian Customs
• To submit position papers for legislative reform
• To conduct seminars to create IPR awareness
• To conduct capacity building programs to share best practices, product identification and intelligence
• To actively involve in regional seminars to showcase and share Malaysia’s developments in IP protection and enforcement and learn best practices from others in the region
